The Future is Hybrid
The bold new 2023 Kia Niro Plugin Hybrid is here at Carolina Kia of High Point, and it takes the original Niro design up several notches with its suave and sharp aesthetics. If you’ve got questions about this powerful new subcompact SUV, we’ve got the answers for you.
What should I know about the 2023 Kia Niro Plugin Hybrid?
That it’s a phenomenally efficient hybrid that’s backed up with the all-dependable Kia warranty (10-year/100,000 mile warranty, which happens to be best-in-class). And that it’s ranked #1 in vehicle dependability by J.D. Power. And that it looks stunning.
What’s the engine like?
The Niro’s hybrid engine can go further than most hybrids with fewer fill ups along the way. It boasts of a 11.1kWh battery that can offer you 33 miles on all-electric driving range, and 510 miles of total driving range. Which means you can switch seamlessly between the gas engine and electric motor without having to worry about where you’ll have to make a pitstop next.
What does the exterior look like?
The Kia Niro Plugin Hybrid is one of the most stylish vehicles to roll into Carolina Kia of High Point. The older models were already some of our most popular. This new one takes the cake easy. It offers a refreshing color palette that you won’t see on the road often with some of our favorite finishes including Mineral Blue with Black Aeroblade or the classic Kia Cityscape Green.
What about the interior?
Our favorite part about the inside of the Niro Hybrid is that it uses sustainable materials throughout, including eucalyptus-derived tencel fibers and headliner made from recycled wallpaper. It offers 54.6 cu. ft. of cargo room, which means you can pack for a few weeks away with the entire family. Seating is super spacious, minimally designed, and very comfortable—by which we mean 39.8in of rear legroom—comfortable. That’s best-in-class for the subcompact SUV segment.
What other features should I know about?
The Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist feature, even though a mouthful, is the one safety feature that gets talked about the most. It basically detects potential hazardous situations or obstructions ahead of you and can apply the brakes automatically if need be. It offers the same support when you’re backing up or trying to park. Which means you’ve got extra eyes on the road for you.
The Smart Cruise Control feature can automatically determine and adjust driving speed to help maintain a specific distance from vehicles ahead of you. We especially like this feature because it’s a great way to maximize fuel efficiency when you’re on highways or driving long distances.
